• DESIGNED FOR ENDURO: The WR450F features enduro-developed components including 2.0 gallon fuel capacity, multi-function meter with fuel and engine warning lights, 18-inch rear wheel, head and tail light, radiator fan, skid plate, sealed O-ring chain, folding aluminum kickstand and an EPA-approved spark arrestor muffler.

Chassis / Suspension

• ALUMINUM BILATERAL BEAM FRAME: Striking the perfect balance of precise cornering performance and handling stability, the aluminum bilateral beam frame consists of more than 10 different aluminum components welded together with WR450F-specific engine mounts. The result is a light feel, great bump absorption and high traction, allowing the rider to enter corners with confidence and many line choices.
• CLASS-LEADING SUSPENSION: The industry-leading, fully adjustable KYB® coil spring-type fork with speed-sensitive damping provides exceptional balance between handling and bump absorption, and now features a new hand operated compression clicker for toolless adjustments. The linkage-type rear suspension uses a KYB® shock with specially-tuned damping characteristics to match the WR450F chassis. Suspension settings contribute to a lower center of gravity for superb cornering performance and rider comfort in technical sections.
• SLIMMER BODY & IMPROVED ERGOS: A slim, comnpact and flat body eases rider movement for improved control, including more seamless, rounded seat edges, revised side covers and narrow front shrouds. The rider triangle provides increased legroom between the seat and foot pegs for enhanced rider comfort.
• HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKING SYSTEM: A large 270mm front brake disc and 240mm rear are coupled with high performance Nissin caliper and aggressive pad material to provide exceptional stopping power and control.
• ENDURO WHEEL/TIRE COMBO: The WR450F's lightweight 18-inch rear wheel comes laced with a three-cross-spoke pattern for improved impact absorption and rider feel. Wheels feature Excel® rims and come wrapped in Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires for an ideal balance of traction and durability.

Engine

• HIGH PERFORMANCE 450CC FOUR-STROKE ENGINE: The 450cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke engine is light, compact and features strong pulling power across the entire rev range. A high rev limit assists over-rev, further boosting the WR450F's broad power character. Additionally, ECU settings are tailored to suit the specific needs of trail riding and enduro competition.
• THREE-LEVEL TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM: A Traction Control System enabled through Yamaha's Power Tuner App communicates wheel slip to the ECU, tuning the engine to maintain ideal rear wheel traction. Three levels can be selected: HIGH, LOW or OFF.
• ADVANCED FUEL INJECTION: The engine breathes through a 44mm Mikuni® throttle body fed by a high-pressure electric pump to ensure optimum fuel atomization and power for a wide range of altitudes, weather and riding conditions.
• COMPACT LIGHTWEIGHT CLUTCH: The disc spring clutch integrates primary gear and basket into a single steel unit. The result is a compact, lightweight and durable assembly that yields smooth engagement and excellent feel.

The all-new tri-shaft transmission layout vertically stacks the transmission shafts, raising the center shaft and forming a triangle between the crank, drive shaft and main shaft for a lighter, more compact transmission.
